Summer 2007 In Review...

Beloved,
I am alive! It has been an incredible summer! Please forgive me for not being able to keep you updated along the journey but I have been on the road since May 28th and arrived back in Fredericksburg the first week of August. I have seen many of you face to face and we have rejoiced together in grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.

40 days for 40 years

I started the summer in Nashville, TN with a team of about fifteen young people fasting and praying for The Call on 7-7-07 and repenting for 40 years of rebellion in this nation. In 1967 a great wave of immorality swept across the nation in a cultural revolution known as the "sexual revolution". In the midst of the rapid maturation of evil and perversion in America we are calling for a Joel 2 generation to arise and stand. In the face of impending judgment, the prophet Joel cries out,
"Yet even now," declares the LORD,
"return to me with all your heart,
with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning;
and rend your hearts and not your garments."
Return to the LORD your God,
for he is gracious and merciful,
slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love;
and he relents over disaster.
Who knows whether he will not turn and relent,
and leave a blessing behind him,
a grain offering and a drink offering
for the LORD your God?

In the spirit of Joel 2 we ran the "nightwatch" which is from 12-6am every night. The Lord brought together a band of intercessors from all over America to fast and pray for 40 days in Nashville, TN leading up to The Call. America’s rebellion and her submission to false gods, false prophets, sexual immorality, abortion, idol worship, and broken families has brought upon us a 40 year period of great stumbling and disintegration within our country's moral frame. Our heart’s cry is that God will heal America and draw a nation back to the place of intimacy with Jesus, according to the first commandment:
You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your might.
God revealed how each day of prayer was redeeming a year back during this time of prolonged groans, tears of repentance, and crying for the Blood of Jesus to wash us clean from all stains and blemishes and spots of sin in our own individual lives as well as within the body of Christ for the past 40 years. God is so faithful to complete what He has begun!!! As we have been faithful to hear and act according to the Word of God, from the faint whisper of the Spirit to the rumbling of His thunderous voice, God has in turn strengthened us, and sustains us with restored faith and hope that America will respond with all of her heart. It is dependent upon the response of God's people as we gather together to fast and pray for America to return to God and love Jesus once again. Some of the focuses of our intercession given to us by the Lord were:
-
the 60's generation: It's important to note that we are not pointing our finger at our fathers and mothers accusing them for the moral decline in America but are confessing that we have filled up the measure of what was planted in the 60's and we are joining with them to cross over the Jordan into the promise land. Though they bore an "Ishmael" in the 60's we are in faith they they will father and mother the promise, a righteous generation.
-
the call and it's leaders
- an outpouring of the Spirit in this hour
- an explosion of heave
nly creativity in the arts and media:
The Lord is so jealous to
release His creativity in the arts, music and media. We are praying for laborers sent into this harvest field that have seen and heard the sights and sounds of heaven.
- Nashville and the establishment of the house of prayer.
- San Fransisco and the rising homosexual agenda - abortion and the '08 elections

The Call Nashville

On 7-7-07, 70,000 people from around the globe in Nashville's Titan stadium responding to the Joel 2 message of the hour. Young and old, bridegroom and bride, even the nursing infants gathered together to fast and pray, repenting of the 40 years of rebellion and asking the Lord to pour out His Spirit again in America. (Joel 2:12-17) The day started with the Repentance Walk. Twenty thousand people walked down Church St. form the Parthenon (an exact replica of the temple of the goddess Diana in Acts 19) to Titan Stadium. We walked down Church St. indicating our return from 40 years of rebellion and sexual immorality inside the four walls of the church. The city was silent that Saturday morning as we walked past the homosexual clubs and pornography shops down through downtown Nashville; past the towering buildings built to fame of men and bars cleaning up from the night before; over I-40 for the 40 years that we have allowed these things in our own lives. Lastly, we crossed over the Cumberland River and finished our walk by entering into the stadium as a representation of our death to the former way with the hope of new beginnings. It was a beautiful sight as 20,000 people filed into the stadium to join the others already gathering. The beautiful train of colors from every nation, tribe and tongue was a breathtaking picture of the train of a wedding dress as the bride walks down the isle to meet her bridegroom. Come Lord Jesus! The solemn assembly began at 10 in the morning and went until 10 o'clock at night! Some highlights of the day for me were:
- Senator Sam Brownback officially asked for forgiveness on behalf of the U.S. government from the Native Americans, African Americans, and the Youth of America for the injustices done against these people groups. - Thousands of pastors, youth pastors and leaders came down and confessed addictions to pornography and involvement in sexual immorality; getting cleansed and forgiven.
- 70,000 people put on "life" tape and prayed for the ending of abortion in America.
- The renouncement of our agreements with Jezebel and the spirit of Baal and the remarriage and covenant with the Lord on behalf of the nation.
- Intercession for Israel and the Jewish people.
- Massive confession of sin and an crying out for an outpouring of the Spirit.
- Ending with 300 shofars blown and the whole stadium erupting in a shout of victory because the Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love! The 300 represented a "Gideons Band" army, the first fruits of massive revival in America.

Camp of Champions

I had the great privilege of joining my beloved brothers and sisters in Hattiesburg, Ms for a week of great fun and fellowship as we came together to worship and hear the word of the Lord. I led worship for the week and spoke on Tuesday night. I am continually amazed to see the hunger for the things of God and the reality of the Spirit in these young men and women rising up. Truly my labor is for them; that they would be prepared for the hour that has come and is coming upon the earth. That they would have understanding and revelation of the Word of God and be mighty in the Spirit walking in the fullness of what we are only beginning to taste and see. I am so moved by the heart of God for these young ones. There is a war right now in thier generation for their eyes. They were meant to see the kingdom in ways that no other generation has yet to see, even unto the return of the Beloved and the call from heaven over them is "prepare the way of the Lord." They were born to see realities in heaven, be fascinated by the beauty of Jesus and demonstrate it on earth, yet my heart is broken as I watch them waste their lives away living vicariously through video games and the latest movies. There is a war for the eyes and I am laboring so that they might see the beauty of Jesus and get caught up in the glory of His purposes. As I have traveled throughout the country I have noticed one alarming trend among young people that has shaped my message in this season of my life. Listening to hundreds of young men and women talk about their experiences with God where they have encountered His presence once or twice, or maybe every week at youth group, there is a lack knowledge of the man Christ Jesus, the glory of the cross, the power of His resurrection and His immanent return. Yet the number one most contested issue in their lifetime will be Him. His existence, divinity and return. I am not interested in any more intriguing teachings by another anointed vessel, we must have Christ preached in this hour like never before. Their knowledge of Him will mean life or death in the days ahead. Join me as I seek to proclaim Him and Him alone and let the Spirit confirm it with power. (1 Corinthians 2:1-5)

Witchita Awakening
More than 1,000 people surrounded the abortion clinic in Wichita, Kan., to pray that abortion is outlawed and that the late-term abortion charges filed against the clinic's owner, George Tiller, would be upheld. The Wichita Awakening, held July 14-16 as part of The Cause USA's "Summer of Love Tour," included prayer vigils, speakers, and praise and worship concerts outside Tiller's clinic, Women's Health Care Services. Some of the attendees wore red tape over their mouths with the word "life" written across it, while others lay on the sidewalk in the fetal position draped with a long blood-red cloth to protest the murder of millions of babies. Tiller is one of a few U.S. physicians who still perform abortions after the baby is able to survive outside the womb. Over 65,000 late term abortions have been performed here. David and I led worship outside the clinic during the stand. Although I have been active in the fight against abortion for a few years I have never been face to face with something so evil and demonic as this. The gruesome process of late-term abortions should be enough to raise an outcry from the church however tillers clinic disposes of the fetus' by incineration. There is literally a smoke stack rising out of the building where the ashes of aborted babies are spread across the roofs of Wichita businesses. An Eastern European holocaust survivor joined us and she was in hysterics because the last time she had smelled that smell was in a concentration camp in Nazi Germany. We are in far greater holocaust even now and it's happening right down the streets from our churches and schools. I was in disbelief at how this horrendous evil has somehow become acceptable in our nation. Beloved the hour is urgent! Understand that the rapid maturation of evil is leading only to one event and we are so much closer than we know. We need a wake up call in this hour to the place of watching and praying. We have fallen asleep and are dealing with a state of drunkenness in the church, a delusion over our true state of reality and what is happening in these times. (Matt. 24:42-51)
Norma McCorvey, the former "Roe" of Roe v. Wade who eventually abandoned her pro-abortion stance, spoke at the event encouraging
the mostly young attendees to continue to fight for the lives of the unborn in their generation. As a testimony to the power of intercession, to this day there have been no abortions in Wichita. This is the first time in 34 years that there has not been an abortion in a major city in the United States! Praise the Lord! Take heart, weak words and mustard seed faith shift the heavens and our God acts swiftly for the sake of love! He is so faithful! There have been at least 250 lives saved due to the worship and intercession bringing in the government of heaven in Wichita, Kansas!

Please read on to the next post titled "Looking Ahead" to see what I am doing now that I'm back in Fredericksburg, VA and how you can partner with me in bringing the kingdom of God into this generation! I am so excited about what the Lord has put in our path this fall and would love to share it with you!

In Him,
Randy
